Here's how Delhi is gearing up ahead of PM Modi's Independence Day address to nation from Red Fort

As the capital gears up to celebrate the nation’s 76th Independence Day, a multi-layered security system has been put in place in and around the Red Fort from where Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the nation. Airtight security arrangements have been made in view of the terror attack threats ahead of the Independence Day celebrations.

Here’s an overview of the events and security arrangements at the Red Fort on Monday, August 15.

SECURITY ARRANGEMENTS FOR PM, OTHERS

PM Modi will hoist the Tricolour and address the nation from the rampart of the Red Fort.

A number of VIPs/VVIPs, Cadets under the NCC’s youth exchange programme from across the world and other special invitees, along with members of the public will be present at the event.
